Claxton Fruit Cake Sales
Each year, just prior to Christmas, Civitan Club of Perth members can be found standing out in the cold, in front of Hendrik's at the mall or Loeb's on Wilson Street, selling the world famous Claxton Fruit Cakes. This a project in which most Civitan Clubs across Canada and the United States participate. A blend of nature's finest fruits and nuts, Claxton Fruit Cake has enjoyed a worldwide reputation for quality and value since 1910. Claxton Fruit Cakes are offered in both "Regular" and "Dark" recipes and are available in one, two, three and five pound sizes.
Glass Turkey Draw
Throughout the late part of November and early December, Civitan Club of Perth members have tickets for sale on their Glass Turkey Draw. Tickets are reasonably priced and the prizes are substantial. First prize consists of a large turkey and several filled glass bottles. Second prize is a medium sized turkey and several smaller sized filled glass bottles while third prize is a small turkey and a couple less filled glass bottles. The winning tickets are drawn at the Civitan Club of Perth Christmas party just prior to Christmas.
Business Christmas Party
Each year, in the early part of December, the Civitan Club of Perth hosts a Christmas party for small businesses in the area who don't have a large number of employees but still want to have a Christmas party. This party is open to all small and medium sized businesses and the cost is reasonable. Detached seating areas are provided for each company. A dinner and entertainment are provided to all party goers for a cost of less than $20 per person. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available at normal Civitan bar prices.
Breakfast with Santa
At the Civitan Club of Perth, Christmas is for kids. Santa and his elves visit the Perth Civitan Hall early in December each year. Jess Kiddin, a clown and balloon artist is also in attendance. Your children can have breakfast with Santa and then tell him what they would like for Christmas. The entry charge for this event is minimal.
New Year's Eve Party
For the past several years the Civitan Club of Perth has been providing a low cost venue for a New Year's Eve Party. This party is open to the public and the cost is very low. Five dollars per person gets you in the door, a light lunch and party favors at midnight. Low Civitan bar prices are in effect for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Plans are already being made for New Year's Eve of the year 2004. Make your plans to be with us for a great time on New Year's Eve
